Welcome to the Home of the Camberley Under 17s for the 2010-11 Season
Camberley Under 16s encourage long standing and new players to take part in their mutual love for the sport of rugby. We attend Surrey League and friendly matches throughout the season. Our aim is to play fair, competitive, social and enjoyable rugby whilst developing our players, maintaining team spirit and lasting friendship.
We ensure that all our players, parents and guardians feel they an integral part of the squad. All those who take part in training and matches have an equal opportunity to develop their own skills and enjoy playing the game. We have an experienced team of coaches,headed up by Dave Harvey, assisted by Rob Bamford and Graeme Hutchinson who have played all the way from minis and juniors through to the Camberley First XV.
The U16s train every Wednesday at Watchetts Recreation Ground from 7pm until 8.30pm. Sunday training (also at Watchetts) is from 10am until 12.30pm. Sunday matches and kick off times may vary, but these will be notified to players in advance either on email and/or verbally at training.
There is a great team spirit within our group of players, some of whom have been playing rugby since the age of 5. We encourage good discipline, manners, respect and excellent rugby. We welcome experienced players as well as those who want to come along and try it for the first time. Whatever the skill level, we always have lots of fun!
